FAQs

Q ~ Who makes your products?

A ~ All original works (paintings, ceramics, jewellery etc) are made by Isabel in her home studio in South Australia.

  • Print Reproductions ~ Isabel prints  her own fine art museum quality reproductions using an Epson Stylus Pro, archival inks and paper. At times when workload is large Isabel will outsource her prints to a professional fine art printer in Australia.
  • Magnets ~ Isabel prints and assembles all magnets in her studio.
  • Artist cards ~ Cards are outsourced and printed by other professional printers. All printed in Australia.

Q ~ How long does it take to finish your work?

A ~ It depends and it varies between hours, days or weeks. Ceramics need at least 3 to 4 weeks to complete due to the necessary stages: drying time, bisque fire, glazing and glazing fire.

Q ~ What materials do you work with?

A ~ Paintings and illustrations are mostly mixed media, watercolour, ink, acrylics, pencils and sometimes oils on archival papers, canvases and boards. Recently Isabel has started illustrations on digital media using Procreate.

  • Decorative ceramics are made of earthenware clay whilst functional ceramics are made of stoneware. Both are then decorated with underglazes and glazes.
  • Jewellery (wearable art) is made with precious metals such as sterling silver, sometimes gold, and other non precious recycled metals, wood and recycled plastic.
  • Textile works are mostly handprinted with eco friendly permaset fabric paint on natural fibres such as linen and cotton.

Q ~ Do you accept commissions?
